JUSTICE ANU SIVARAMAN) This Writ Petition (Habeas Corpus) is filed seeking the following reliefs:- "a) Issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, directing Respondent authorities to produce the Petitioner (detenue) before this Hon'ble Court; b) Declare that the detention/confinement of the Petitioner by Respondent Nos. 5 to 9 is illegal; c) Direct Respondent authorities to ensure the safety, protection, and liberty of the Petitioner; and d) Permit the Petitioner to reside at a place of his choice and pursue his education without interference." 2. We have heard Shri. N. Shreyas, learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner as well as Shri. Thejesh. P, learned High Court Government Pleader appearing for respondents No.1 to 4. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:23672-DB WPHC No. 37 of 2026 3. The detenue is present in person before us today. 4. The detenue has informed us that he is now willing to go back home with his parents and continue his education there. 5. The father of the detenue, who is also present before us, has submitted that he will take care of the detenue and ensure that he is permitted to pursue his education and work, at his option, in his native place. 6. In view of the fact that the detenue wants to go back home with his parents, the Writ Petition (Habeas Corpus) stands closed. However, it is made clear that, in case the detenue requires any assistance, it is open to him to approach the Respondent - Authorities, who shall render necessary assistance to him, as required.
