The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the property comprised in S.F. Nos. 63/4A and 63/4C, measuring an extent of 4.67 acres, situated at Chinna Kamatchipatti within Thiruvanapatti Village, Uthangarai Taluk, Dharmapuri District (as it then was), was originally owned and possessed by the petitioner’s mother. While matters stood thus, the State Government, through the District Social Welfare Department, initiated proceedings to acquire the said lands under the Harijan Welfare Scheme and issued a Section 4(1) notification. Since the said Section 4(1) notification and its corresponding statutory notices were never served upon the land owner, the acquisition proceedings were challenged in W.P. No. 11508 of 1998, wherein this Court quashed the entire acquisition proceedings. Following the demise of the petitioner’s mother, the petitioner’s father submitted several representations to the revenue authorities seeking necessary corrections in the revenue records and the issuance of a patta in their favour. In reply, Mr.B.Pachaiyappan, learned Government Counsel who takes notice on behalf of the respondents would submit that the petitioner’s representation dated 24.04.2026 will be disposed of by the respondents within a period of twelve weeks. 4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Counsel for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record. 5. In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents 2 and 4 to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 24.04.2026 on its own merits and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
