The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner’s father originally owned the land and building comprised in Natham S.F. No. 123/7 (New S.F. No. 267/1), covered under Patta No. 597, admeasuring 0.0140.0 sq. m., situated at Nangavalli Village and Town Panchayat. Subsequently, the petitioner’s father executed a registered Settlement Deed dated 05.05.2023 in favour of the petitioner and her sister, and they have been in continuous possession of the subject property ever since. Accordingly, the petitioner submitted an online application dated 12.03.2026 seeking the transfer of patta. Since the said application has not yet been considered, the petitioner has approached this Court. 3. In reply, Mr.B.Pachaiyappan, learned Government Counsel who takes notice on behalf of the respondents would submit that the petitioner’s online application dated 12.03.2026 will be disposed of by the respondents within a period of six weeks. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 25994 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Counsel for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record. 5. In view of the above, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner’s online application dated 12.03.2026 on its own merits and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6.
