In this writ petition, the petitioners seeks for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 23.09.2025 vide Annexure-K for promotion to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer. 2. The case of the petitioner is that he belongs to the Scheduled Tribe category and is a native of the Hyderabad Karnataka Region. He was appointed as a Junior Engineer on 08.06.2021 in respondent No.2-Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Drainage Board (hereinafter referred to as the “Board” for short). Respondents conferred promotions on some of the Assistant Engineers and Junior Engineers to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer. As per the seniority list dated 13.01.2025 published by respondent - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:4747 WP No. 34354 of 2025 No.2 vide Annexure-J, the petitioner’s rank is shown at Sl.No.3 and he is eligible for promotion to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer while working as a Junior Engineer under the Hyderabad Karnataka Region. Since his case has not been considered, he submitted a representation dated 23.09.2025 to respondent No.2 vide Annexure-K. Since respondent No.2 has not considered the representation submitted by the petitioner, he is before this Court. 3. Learned counsel appearing for respondent No.2 submits that the representation submitted by the petitioners will be considered in accordance with law, if this Court grants some reasonable time. 4. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merit of the case, the writ petition is disposed of. 5.
