Mr. Firdous Samim Ms. Gopa Biswas Ms. Ankita Ghosh Mr. Hasanuz Zaman Molla Ms. Nurani Sultana Mr. Naman Shah …. for the petitioner Mr. Vivekananda Bose Mr. Arkwdipta Sengupta …. for the State 1. Let affidavit-of-service, as filed in Court, be kept on record. 2. The petitioner is an Assistant Professor in a college which is affiliated to the respondent no. 3. 3. The petitioner’s grievance is that an identically situated person, though junior to him in the years of service, is drawing a higher pay. This is a glaring case of disparity. 4. The petitioner had made a representation on September 28, 2024 to the respondent no. 2 pointing out such disparity in pay scale and consequential deficiencies, which the petitioner is being made to suffer. However, such 2 representation has been ignored and is lying unattended. 5. In view thereof, I direct the respondent no. 2 to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated September 28, 2024 by May 15, 2026 and communicate the resultant order to the petitioner by May 20, 2026. 6. With the aforestated directions, the writ petition is, thus, disposed of. 7. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. 8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties on usual undertaking. (Reetobroto Kumar Mitra, J.)
