Respondent(s) in CONT P(MD). 1461/ 2026 Prayer in CONT P(MD). 1461/ 2026 :Contempt petition filed under section 11 of the contempt of courts act, 1971 to punish the contemnor for wilful disobedience of the order of Division Bench of this Court dated 14.12.2023, made in W.A.(MD).No. 347/2023 as accordance with law. For Petitioner : M/s.R.Suriya Narayanan For Respondents : Mr.S.I.Muthiah Counsel for State ORDER (Order of the Court was made by C.V.KARTHIKEYAN, J.) It is contended that the order of the respondent that they would survey the property had been dropped by the respondent themselves. 2. The Division Bench had earlier directed that the writ jurisdiction p. 3 should not be invoked to direct conducting of survey of private lands and that the proper procedure would be to approach the civil court. It is contended that an application was filed before the civil court under Order XXVI, which came to be dismissed by the jurisdictional court. Thereafter again an attempt was made by the respondent to survey the land. The learned counsel contended that this was in violation of the specific directions by the Court. However, now it is informed that the proposal to survey the land had been dropped by the respondent. As on date there is no contempt, which has arisen for consideration. Accordingly, the contempt petition stands closed. (C.V.K.,J.)
