THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING IN 'B' GROUP, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER: CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SURAJ GOVINDARAJ ORAL ORDER 1. Petitioners are before this Court seeking for the following reliefs:- (a) "Issue writ or order direction in the nature of certiorari or any other appropriate writ quashing the orders / endorsement dated 21.09.2024 passed by the Respondent No.3 vide bearing No.49/2024-25 as per ANNEXURE-A, vide bearing No.50/2024-25 as per ANNEXURE A-1, and vide bearing No.51/2024-25 as per ANNEXURE-A-2, respectively by allowing the above writ petition; (b) Direct the Respondent No.3 authority to consider the representation dated 02/04/2024 i.e. Annexure-E, E1, E2 given by the petitioners for renewal the license in the names of petitioners in respect of the petition properties as sought for by the petitioners. (c) To grant such other relief/s as this Hon'ble Court deems fit in the circumstances of the case." 2. The contention of the petitioners are that the petitioners having earlier electricity connection, now - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:5511 WP No. 34400 of 2024 the same has been denied on the ground that there are certain new additional requirements which have been imposed by the respondents. 3. The petitioners had obtained earlier electricity connection for agricultural purposes. Now, the petitioners want to use the said electricity connection in respect of their bore well for supply of water for public consumption. If that be so, it would be for the petitioners to apply for and obtain necessary licence by complying with the applicable formalities. 4. Learned counsel for the respondent No.3 submits that if online application is filed accompanied by the required documents, the said application would be considered and necessary orders be passed within 30 days of the said application being filed. 5. Learned counsel for the respondent Nos.4 and 5 submits that once respondent No.3 were to approve, respondent Nos.4 and 5 will provide the necessary - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:5511 WP No. 34400 of 2024 connection within 30 days thereafter on production of the relevant documents. 6. In that view of the matter, I pass the following:- ORDER i. The writ petition is partly allowed. ii. The petitioners are permitted to file necessary application to respondent No.3 accompanied by the required documents. iii. Once such application is filed, respondent No.3 is directed to consider the said application and pass necessary orders within 30 days of filing of the said application. iv. On the respondent No.3 passing such order and the said order being produced before respondent Nos.4 and 5, respondent Nos.4 and 5 are directed to consider and pass necessary orders within 30 days of such positive order being placed on record before respondent Nos.4 and 5.
