For Petitioner : M/s.S.Meena * * * * * 1/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis ORDER The present petition has been filed by the appellant in C.A.No.217 of 2026, on the file of the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Virudhunagar District at Srivilliputhur, seeking to set aside a direction imposed by the Appellate Court to deposit a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- as a condition precedent for granting suspension of sentence. 2. A perusal of the impugned order reveals that the petitioner's Counsel had agreed to deposit 20% of the compensation amount. However, the Appellate Court had proceeded to direct the accused to deposit a sum of Rs.5,00,000/-. 3. In such view of the matter, the order impugned the petition is hereby set aside and the petitioner is directed to deposit a sum of Rs.1,00,000/-(Rupees One Lakh only) before the trial Court on or before 31.07.2026. The rest of the conditions imposed by the trial Court stand confirmed. 4.
