Learned High Court Government Pleader raises a preliminary objection that the writ petition is not maintainable in view of the alternative efficacious remedy available for the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:47 WP No. 33832 of 2025 petitioners under Section 49(C) of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964. 3. The Deputy Commissioner has rejected the application of the petitioners seeking regularisation of unauthorised occupation in Form No.57 vide order dated 14.05.2024 based on information furnished by the respondent- Tahsildar, stating that the land sought to be regularised by the petitioners fall within 10 km radius from the Tumkuru Municipal Corporation. 4. The writ petition stands disposed of, reserving liberty to the petitioners to approach the Karnataka Appellate Tribunal to redress their grievances in view of the remedy available to them under Section 49(c) of the Act.
