The petitioner is aggrieved by the action of the respondents in not considering the petitioner for promotion to the post of Municipal 3 Commissioner, Grade-III, as the petitioner is facing trial in C.C.No.47 of 2024 on the file of III Additional District & Sessions Judge for ACB Cases, Visakhapatnam. It is submitted that G.O.Ms.No.257, dated 10.06.1999, is not followed by the respondents. 3. The learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the respondents is present. 4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed off, directing the respondents to follow G.O.Ms.No.257, dated 10.06.1999, at the admission stage. It is also further directed to consider the petitioner's case for promotion to the post of Municipal Commissioner, Grade-III in terms of G.O.Ms.No.257, dated 10.06.1999. 5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed off.
