The petitioner states that his father settled 29 cents of Nanja land in his favour under a Settlement Deed dated 18.08.2021. While the petitioner was carrying on seasonal cultivation, the respondent allegedly entered the property without notice or consent and excavated a portion of the petitioner's patta land for the construction of a storm water drainage canal. The petitioner contends that the excavation has obstructed access to his land, despite there being no necessity for the drainage, as an existing storm water drain on the opposite side of the road remains unused. The petitioner further submits that his representation dated 22.09.2025 seeking removal of the encroachment and payment of compensation has not been considered. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondent. 4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 22.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Such orders shall be passed within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and affording him an opportunity of a personal hearing. 5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
