Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made an online application dated 11.04.2026 to conduct survey and demarcate the petitioner’s land situated at Salem West, Tharamangalam Circle, Omalur Taluk, Pappampatti Village, Comprised in Old Survey No.4/10A and New Survey No.4/10A1, bearing Sub-Division Patta No.4032 measuring an extent of 22,415 sq.ft., comprised in patta No.4147, under the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923. However, the same was not considered, as on date. Hence, this writ petition. 3. Mr.B.Pachaiyappan, learned Government’s Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and submitted that the petitioner’s application dated 11.04.2026 will be considered within a period of six weeks. 4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record. 5. Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's online application dated 11.04.2026 and carry out a survey and complete the process, after giving prior notice to the petitioner and other aggrieved parties, if any, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 26034 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 6. It is made clear that this order is passed only for the purpose of issuing a direction to the official respondent to conduct a survey and lay boundary stones at the subject land. In the event any dispute arises regarding the possession of the subject property, the same has to be decided by way of filing a suit before the competent Civil Court. 7. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of.
