THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER: CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned High Court Government Pleader takes notice for respondent Nos.1 and 3. Learned counsel Sri.Naveed Ahmed, has entered appearance for respondent No.2. 2. The petitioner is before this Court seeking direction to the Land Tribunal, Ramanagara Taluk to take up and conclude the proceedings in L.R.F./INA/64/86-87 pursuant to the matter being remanded at the hands of this Court in W.P.No.18015/1980 dated 18.09.1984. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:4570 WP No. 112 of 2025 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the matter was remanded in the year 1984, the Tribunal has failed to consider and dispose of the matter and therefore, the petitioner is before this Court seeking appropriate direction. The learned counsel would also submit that at present the Land Tribunal, Ramanagara Taluk is not functioning, because the same has to be reconstituted. 4. This is the sorry state of affairs which this Court has come across where many Land Tribunals have not been reconstituted for many years. If the Tribunals are not reconstituted, naturally all the proceedings before the Tribunal will remain without seeing the light of the day. This Court would therefore, direct the Principal Secretary, Revenue Department of the Government of Karnataka to take note of the observations made by this Court and ensure that the Land Tribunals are constituted in the State at the earliest. A report in that regard shall also be placed before this Court within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:4570 WP No. 112 of 2025 Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of in the above terms. Ordered accordingly. Copy of this order shall be marked to the Principal Secretary, Revenue Department, Government of Karnataka for further action. Sd/- (R DEVDAS) JUDGE GPG List No.: 1 Sl No.: 32
