During his service, he successfully completed the requisite departmental and driver training and was promoted as Fireman Driver by proceedings dated 27.02.2020. 3. The petitioner would submit that under G.O.(Ms.) No.352 dated 14.05.2012 and the subsequent G.O.(Ms.) No.45 dated 01.02.2021, the Government prescribed promotional channels for Fire and Rescue Service personnel. The petitioner would further submit that his promotion as Fireman Driver placed him under Channel-II, thereby depriving him of the opportunity to be considered under Channel-I for promotion as Leading Fireman. 4. Therefore, the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 06.02.2026 seeking conversion of his post from Channel-II to Channel-I in https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 25896 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 5 terms of the applicable Government Orders. However, the said representation has not been considered to date. Hence, the present Writ Petition. 5. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the records. 6. Considering the relief sought for by the petitioner and in the absence of any serious objection from the learned counsel appearing for the respondents, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 06.02.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
