Petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs: “10.1 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the Digitally signed by PRAVEEN KUMAR SINHA Date: 2026.02.16 11:38:27 +0530 2 / 2 respondents to consider and decide the petitioner's application dated 19.08.2025 (Annexure P-4) for compassionate appointment within a stipulated time frame. 10.2 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant compassionate appointment to the petitioner on any suitable post commensurate with his qualification. 10.3 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other relief, as it may deems fit and appropriate.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner’s application/representation (Annexure P-4) for grant of compassionate appointment is still pending consideration before respondent No.3 and therefore a direction be issued to respondent No.3 to take decision on the pending application/representation at the earliest within specified time frame. 3. Learned counsel for the State submits that in view of limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, he is having no objection. 4. On due consideration of submission made by learned counsel for the parties, this writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No.3 to consider and take decision on the pending application/representation (Annexure P-4) submitted by petitioner expeditiously, preferably within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
