Neutral Citation 2026:JHHC:6992 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 9706 of 2025 Mithilesh Ganjhu --- --- Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand --- --- Opposite Party --- CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY --- For the Petitioner : Mr. Satyanshu Shubham, Adv. For the O.P. : Mr. Achinto Sen, A.P.P. --- 05/16.03.2026 Heard Mr. Satyanshu Shubham, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Pathalgadda P.S. Case No. 23/2025. The daughter of the informant was murdered by her husband and in-laws as per the allegations. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that there is a delay of 28 days in lodging the FIR. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner has been implicated on suspicion since the petitioner was in a live-in relationship with the daughter of the informant. Learned counsel adds that the petitioner is in custody since 03.06.2025. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. It appears that on the confession of the petitioner, the poison which was administered to the deceased had been recovered. The same apart from the other circumstances indicates about the culpability of the petitioner in the commission of the murder of the daughter of the informant and consequently his prayer for bail is hereby rejected. This application stands rejected. (Rongon Mukhopadhyay, J.) Dated- 16th March, 2026. Preet/- Uploaded on: 17 /03//2026.
