Petitioners are serving as Teachers in B.Ed Department of Government Degree College, Ranikhet, reportedly since 2008. By means of this writ petition, they have sought a direction to the authorities to regularise their services with all attendant and consequential benefits. 3. Learned State Counsel, however, submits that petitioners were engaged in a self-financing course, which is not receiving any financial aid from the State or Central Government. 4. It is further contended that no post has been created by the State Government against which petitioner’s service can be regularised. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner, however, submits that other similarly situate persons, who were appointed along with petitioners in B.Ed Department of Government Degree College, Ranikhet, were considered and regularised. 2026:UHC:3495-DB 6. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioners, we think that ends of justice would be met if petitioners are permitted to make representation. 7. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by permitting petitioners to make representation to the competent authority. If petitioners make separate representation to the Director, Higher Education within two weeks, decision thereupon shall be taken, as per law, within four months thereafter. (Pankaj Purohit, J.)
