1. Mr. V.K. Guglani, learned counsel for the petitioner.
2. Ms. Sweta Badola Dobhal, learned Brief Holder for the State.
3. By the instant petition, the petitioner is praying for quashing of FIR dated 11.02.2026, bearing FIR No. 0023 of 2026 registered at P.S. Dineshpur District U.S. Nagar wherein the petitioner has been implicated for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 504 and 506 IPC.
4. It is argued by the learned counsel for the petitioner that all the offences are punishable for less than seven years, and, as such, the concerned I.O. has to follow the guidelines as formulated by the Hon’ble Apex Court in the case of Arnesh Kumar vs. State of Bihar, (2014) 8 SCC 272.
5. Ms. Sweta Badola Dobhal, learned Brief Holder have no objection.
6. In such view of the matter, the instant writ petition is disposed of finally with the direction to the I.O. follow the guidelines as formulated by the Hon’ble Apex Court in the case of Arnesh Kumar (supra) while conducting investigation.
7. Pending application, if any, also stands disposed of.
