By the present writ petition the petitioner seeks a direction upon the respondent authorities to grant family pension in her favour. 3. The petitioner contends that she is the unmarried daughter of Late Sasanka Sekhar Chandra, who was an Assistant Teacher in Baruabheri Primary School, Post Office – Bhagwanpur, District – Purba Medinipur. The petitioner’s father retired from service on superannuation on 30th April, 1973. Pension Payment Order was belatedly issued in favour of the father of the petitioner on 10th October, 2013 after the demise of the employee on 2nd April, 2006. The mother of the petitioner died on 24th May, 2009. The petitioner being the unmarried daughter of the deceased employee filed an application for grant of family pension on 9th September, 2025. However, the same is still pending consideration. Hence this writ petition. 4. Learned advocate for the petitioner seeks that the matter be relegated to the appropriate authority for consideration of the representation of the petitioner. 5. None appears on behalf of the State respondents on call. 6. Mr. Saibal Acharyya, learned advocate, who usually appears on behalf of the State respondents along with his junior Ms. Mohuya Dutta Biswas, advocates are requested to appear in this matter. 7. Let their engagement be regularized by the concerned authority. 8. Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to hand over a copy of the writ petition along with annexures to the learned advocate for the State respondents. 9. Mr. Acharyya, learned advocate for the State submits that the matter be sent to the appropriate authority for due consideration. 10. In view of such submission, the District Inspector of School, (PE), Purba Medinipur, respondent no. 4 herein, is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 9th September, 2025 (Annexure ‘P-5’) upon notice to the petitioner and dispose of the same in accordance with law by passing a reasoned order, within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. 2 11. The reasoned order shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week of passing thereof. 12. Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to communicate this order to respondent no.4, District Inspector of School, (PE), Purba Medinipur, for necessary compliance. 13. Accordingly, the writ petition being no. W.P.A. 27929 of 2025 is disposed of. 14. Since no affidavits have been called for, the allegation made in the writ petition is deemed to be not admitted. 15. Interim order, if any, stands vacated. 16. All connected applications, if any, stand disposed of. 17. There shall be no order as to costs. 18. All concerned parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 19.
