The case of the petitioner is that he submitted a representation dated 11.02.2026 to respondents 1 to 4 seeking the cancellation of Patta No. 2494, which was issued in favour of the 5th and 6th respondents for the petitioner’s land comprised in S.F. No. 1093 (Old Patta No. 1115) of Irumborai Village, Mettupalayam Taluk, Coimbatore District, measuring 3.47 acres. The petitioner further requested the authorities to issue a fresh patta jointly in his name and his brothers' names. However, the said representation has not been considered till date. The learned Government Counsel appearing for the official respondents submitted that the 3rd respondent is the competent authority to consider the case of the petitioner. 4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the 3rd respondent / Revenue Divisional Officer to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.02.2026. The 3rd respondent shall, after issuing due notice to the petitioner, the private respondents, and any other interested parties, afford them a fair hearing and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
