2. The case of the prosecution is that owing to previous enmity, the petitioners, along with the other accused, abused the de facto complainant in filthy language and set fire to the house of the de facto complainant.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are innocent, have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution, and have been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioners are ready to cooperate with the investigation and, therefore, prayed for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the case of the prosecution and strongly opposed the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners on the ground that three previous cases are pending against them.
5. Taking into consideration the totality of the circumstances and the criminal antecedents of the petitioners, this Court is of the firm view that, at this stage, it is not a fit case to enlarge the petitioners on anticipatory bail. 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
