Order This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to issue a passport to petitioner by considering the petitioner’s representation dated 13.06.2026 through application reference (ARN) No. 26/1053654266 File No.MA 1066482312226 dated 24.02.2026.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner applied for a fresh Tatkal passport on 24.02.2026 and attended enquires before the Regional Passport Office. The passport has not been issued as the authorities orally stated that a criminal case is pending against the petitioner, to which, he claims that he has been falsely implicated. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 13.06.2026 requesting the first respondent to consider his passport application and issue passport. Since no action has been forthcoming from the first respondent, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. Learned Standing Counsel for first respondent would submit that first respondent would consider and pass orders on the representation submitted by the petitioner seeking passport in accordance with GSR No.570 (E) and the
judgment of the Full Bench of the Madurai Bench of this Court dated 09.02.2026 made in W.P.(MD).No.26547 of 2025. The same is agreed to by the

4. In that view of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of. The first respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 13.06.2026 submitted by the petitioner on its own merits and in accordance with law and in accordance with GSR No.570 (E) and the judgment of the Full Bench of the Madurai Bench of this Court dated 09.02.2026 made in W.P.(MD).No.26547 of 2025 and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy of the order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties.
