WP No. 25366 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 ORDER The present writ petition has been filed for a direction to first respondent to renew and reissue passport to petitioner by considering his explanation letter dated 15.06.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2. Learned Central Government counsel for first respondent would submit that charge sheet has been filed, while learned counsel for petitioner would submit that it is only at the stage of FIR. 3. Learned Central Government Counsel would submit that they would consider petitioner’s explanation dated 15.06.2026 and pass appropriate orders, keeping in view the stage of criminal proceedings, in accordance with GSR No.570 (E) dated 25.08.1993 and the judgment of the Full Bench of the Madurai Bench of this Court made in W.P.(MD).No.26547 of 2025 dated 09.02.2026, which was agreed to by learned counsel for petitioner. 4. In view thereof, first respondent shall consider petitioner’s explanation dated 15.06.2026 and pass appropriate orders, keeping in view the stage of criminal proceedings, in accordance with GSR No.570 (E) dated 25.08.1993 and the judgment of the Full Bench of the Madurai Bench of this Court made in W.P.(MD).No.26547 of 2025 dated 09.02.2026, after affording reasonable https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
