Eastern Coalfields Limited vs. Uday Goswami and others
Mr. Debnath Ghosh Mr. Bijoy Kumar Mr. Syed Nurul Arefin ... for the appellant Mr. Siddhartha Banerjee Mr. Souradeep Banerjee Ms. Sanjan Sinha Ms. Aditi Gupta ... for the respondent nos.1 & 2
The present appeal has been preferred by the appellant herein challenging the judgment dated 10th September, 2026 passed by the learned Single Judge in the review application being RVW 125 of 2024 in connection with writ petition being WPA 11252 of 2018, whereby the application for review has been dismissed. Mr. Banerjee, learned advocate appearing for the writ petitioners/respondent nos.1 and 2 herein, draws our attention to the judgment delivered in the case of Satheesh V. K. vs. Federal Bank Ltd. reported in 2025 SCC OnLine SC 2046 and submits that in view of the law laid down by Hon’ble Supreme Court, an appeal against the order rejecting the review application is not maintainable.
2 Mr. Ghosh, learned Senior Advocate enters appearance on behalf of the appellant. We have heard learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and considered the materials on record. In view of the law laid down in Satheesh V. K. (supra), the instant appeal is not maintainable. Accordingly, the appeal and the connected application are dismissed.
