Bhattacharyya and Mr. J. Konwar, learned counsels for the applicant pray for condoning the delay of 3436 days in preferring the appeal against the conviction and sentence of the appellant under Section Page No.# 2/2 120B/364A/395/397/201/34 IPC by the learned Additional Sessions Judge No.1, Kamrup(M), Assam, in Sessions Case No.227(K)/2006. 2. The applicant’s counsels submit that altogether 9 (nine) persons have been convicted by the impugned judgment and 4 (four) appeals have been filed against the said judgment. While all the appeals have been disposed of, two of the convicted persons have been acquitted of the charges framed against them. 3. On considering the reasons for the delay given by the applicant in paragraph-9 of the application, we find that sufficient cause for the delay has been made out.
