It is the contention of the petitioner that he filed an application in Form No.53 seeking Regularization of Unauthorized Occupation of 4 acres of land in Sy.No.83 of Valambige Village, Kasaba Hobli, Holenarasipura Taluk, Hassan District on 04.12.1998. It is contended that the revenue authorities have inspected the spot and have prepared a sketch showing the possession of the petitioner in respect of the land for which application is filed by the petitioner. However, till date no orders have been passed on the application filed by the petitioner. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:30 WP No. 26206 of 2025 3. Having regard to the contention raised by the petitioner, this Court is of the considered opinion that respondent No.2-Tahsildar, Holenarasipura Taluk, Hassan District is required to place the application filed by the petitioner before the Committee for Regularization of Unauthorized Occupation along with his recommendation. For that purpose, the Tahsildar is required to verify from the records as to whether such an application has been filed by the petitioner. If it is found that such an application was indeed filed by the petitioner but the same is not considered till date, then the Tahsildar shall place the application before the Committee. 4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Tahsildar to act in terms of the directions issued by this Court and if it is found that an application filed by the petitioner is still pending consideration, then the application shall be placed by the Tahsildar before the Committee as expeditiously as possible and at any rate, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, the Committee shall consider the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:30 WP No. 26206 of 2025 application and pass necessary orders as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date when which the application is placed by the Tahsildar before the Committee.
