1. Petitioner, through the medium of this petition, seeks direction to respondent No.4-Tehsildar Billawar, Kathua to decide the rectification proceedings pending in his office for correction of entries of Khasra Girdawari in respect of land bearing Khasra No.583-min measuring 4 kanal 14 marla and Khasra No.584 measuring 4 kanal 7 marla situated at village Kishanpur Tehsil Billawar, Kathua initiated by him on the basis of prolonged Sr. No. 176

cultivation/possession of the petitioner over said land for last around 60 years in which the petitioner along with his family members are residing.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite the application for correction having been moved, about a year back, no proceedings have been carried out by the respondent no.4-Tehsildar Billawar as of now.

Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, in case, this petition is, disposed of, at this stage, with a direction to the respondent No.4-Tehsildar Billawar, Kathua, to consider the application contended to have been submitted to him and decide the matter expeditiously.

Learned counsel for the other side is not averse to the statement made by learned counsel of the petitioner and submits that respondents shall consider the application, under rules.

In view of the pleadings and submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is, disposed of, at its threshold, with a direction to the respondents, particularly, respondent No.4-Tehsildar Billawar, to decide the application moved by the petitioner, under rules, within a period of six weeks from the date certified copy of this order is served upon him, by the petitioner.

Disposed of, as above, along with connected application.
