Neutral Citation 2026:JHHC:8034 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 11745 of 2025 1. Sukumari Devi @ Shiv Kumari Devi @ Sukumari. 2. Paramhans Ravi Das @ Pamanand Das @ Pramhansh Ravidas @ Parmand Das. --- --- Petitioners Versus The State of Jharkhand --- --- Opposite Party --- CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY --- For the Petitioners : Mr. Anup Kr. Agrawal, Adv. For the O.P. : A.P.P. --- 03/23.03.2026 Heard Mr. Anup Kr. Agrawal, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned A.P.P. The prayer for bail of the petitioners was earlier rejected in B.A. No. 946/2025. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that out of 8 charge sheet witnesses, 4 witnesses have been examined as yet and out of them, 03 have been declared hostile by the prosecution. It has further been submitted that the petitioners are in custody since 07.09.2024. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. It appears from the allegations that on the date of occurrence, there was a quarrel between the petitioners and the deceased. The petitioners appear to be the parents-in-law of the deceased and it appears that the husband was not present at the place of occurrence when the incident had taken place. Regard being had to the above, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners. The same is hereby rejected at this stage. This application stands rejected. (Rongon Mukhopadhyay, J.)
