The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent no.1/ MCD to demolish/ seal the unauthorized construction carried out by the respondents no.2 and 3 at property bearing Flat no.77, Block-F, Pocket-6, Sector-16, Rohini, Delhi-110085 (hereinafter ‘subject property’) and a direction to the respondent no.4 for providing police assistance. 2. It is the case of the petitioner that a work stop notice was issued by MCD on 9th December, 2025 and the subject property was booked on 10th December, 2025. 3. Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that despite issuance of a work stop notice, unauthorized construction in the subject This is a digitally signed order. In this regard, the petitioner has placed photographs. 4. Mr. Nath, counsel appearing on behalf of MCD, submits that once a work stop notice has been issued, the same is communicated to the concerned SHO in order to ensure that no construction activity is carried out. 5. He has also handed over a copy of the show-cause notice dated 10th December, 2025 issued in respect of unauthorized construction being carried out in the subject property. 5.1. The same is taken on record. 6. Having heard counsel for the parties, a direction is issued to the respondent no.4 to ensure that no further construction activities are carried out in the subject property. 7. MCD is also directed to expeditiously dispose of proceedings arising out the aforesaid show-cause notice and take appropriate action in accordance with law. 8. The petition is disposed of.
