Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made a representation dated 20.04.2026 before the respondents seeking assignment of land in respect of the Government Tharisu land, as per proceedings of the first respondent in Letter No.138399990/LA(3/2)/2026-1 dated 15.5.2026 and issue patta on his favour. However, the said representation was not considered, as on date. Hence, this writ petition. 3. Mr.B.Pachaiyappan, learned Government’s Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and submitted that the petitioner’s representation dated 20.04.2026 will be considered within a period of eight weeks. 4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record. 5. Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents 2 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 26595 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 20.04.2026, after issuing due notice to the petitioner and other aggrieved persons, if any and grant assignment patta in respect of the subject land, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, taking note of the petitioner's claim that he has been utilizing the land for agricultural activities for the past ten years. 6.
