For Petitioner(s): Mr.S.Sengkodi For Respondent(s): Mr.S.Yogaraja Sekar Government Advocate (Criminal side) ORDER The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 22.05.2026 for the alleged offences under Sections 191 (2), 191 (3), 329 (4), 296 (b), 324 (4), 232 (1), 351 (3) of BNS and 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women (Amendment) Act, 2002, in Crime No.85 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner intimidated the defacto-complainant, who is a witness in the main case. Hence, the case. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has been in custody since 22.05.2026. He further submitted that the occurrence took place on 20.11.2025. He further stated that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court and ready to co-operate for investigation. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and upon instructions, submitted that twenty-four previous cases have been registered against the petitioner and that he is a history-sheeter. Hence, he opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner. 5.Considering the totality of the circumstances, and the criminal antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is of the firm view that, it is not desirable to enlarge the petitioner on bail.
