No. 1405 of 2026 For Petitioner(s): Mr.M.Sudhan For Respondent(s): Mrs.G.Djearany for R1, R2 G.A.(Crl.Side) ORDER This writ petition has been filed for direction to the third respondent bank not to release, return, transfer or in any manner deal with or dispose of the pledged gold jewels belonging to the petitioner, which where pledged by the fourth respondent, pending disposal of the criminal proceedings in Crime No.246 of 2025 by considering the representation dated 05.02.2026. 2.On the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the second respondent registered the FIR in Crime No.246 of 2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 351(2) and 318(3) of BNS. The petitioner alleged that the jewels belong to her were pledged by the fourth respondent with the third respondent. Therefore, the petitioner sought for direction to the third respondent to not to permit the fourth respondent to redeem the jewels. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), on instructions, submitted that on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the second respondent registered FIR in Crime No.246 of 2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 351(2) and 318(3) of BNS. No. 1405 of 2026 FIR, during investigation, the second respondent had already instructed the third respondent to freeze the fourth respondent’s gold loan account for the purpose of investigation. Now investigation has been completed and final report was filed and the same is pending for taking cognisance. 4.Recording the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.
