For Petitioner(s): Mr.C.Kanagaraj For Respondent(s): Mr.R.Rajasekaran, Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Crl.Side) ORDER This criminal original petition has been filed seeking to modify the condition imposed by the learned Principal Session Judge, Salem, vide order dated 18.06.2026 passed in Crl.M.P.No.1491 of 2026 in Crl.M.P.No.1060 of 2026. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the condition originally imposed required the petitioners to appear and sign before the respondent police daily for a period of 30 days, which is almost nearing completion. However, upon the petitioners moving an application for modification, a new condition was imposed directing them to report once in a week on every Monday for a period of 12 weeks. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL.OP.No.18422 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 3. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent/police submitted that though the petitioners have complied with the condition for 27 days, the investigation is still pending. 4. Considering the submissions made on both sides and taking note of the hardship pleaded by the petitioners, this Court is inclined to modify the condition. Accordingly, the condition imposed by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Salem, in the order dated 18.06.2026, passed in Crl.M.P.No.1491 of 2026 in Crl.M.P.No.1060 of 2026, stands modified. The petitioners are directed to appear and sign before the respondent police on the ensuing Saturdays i.e. on 18.07.2026 and 25.07.2026 at 10.30 AM and thereafter, the condition shall stand relaxed. All other conditions imposed in the earlier order, shall remain unaltered. 5.
