Heard Mr. H. Ishwarlal, learned Sr. counsel assisted by Mr. Jashraj, learned counsel appearing for the applicant and Mr. Shyam Sharma, learned GA appearing for the respondents. The present application has been filed with a prayer for allowing the propose amendment of the connected writ petition. The propose amendment are as under; The sentence or words; “Pooja Elangbam who is now holding the post of Sub-Divisional Officer/SDM, Porompat Impahl East District” which occurred at the 2nd line and 3rd line of para no. 12A sub para at page no. 10 of the writ petition may be allowed to be substituted by the sentence or words; “Smt. Angom Shijalembi Chanu, MCS, who is now holding the post of Administrative Officer in the Department of Art & Culture, Manipur at Palace Compound, Imphal East District”. The learned Sr. counsel appearing for the applicant submitted that the said mistake has been occurred through inadvertence and allowing the said amendment will not change the character of the petition. Mr. Shyam Sharma, learned GA appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that he has no objection in allowing the propose amendment. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties and on perusal of the records, this Court is of the considered view that it will be in the interest of justice to allow the amendment of the writ petition as proposed in the present application, which has been quoted hereinabove. Accordingly, the present application is allowed. The petitioner is directed to file a recast petition within a period of 2(two) weeks. With the aforesaid direction, the present application is disposed of.
