The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the absolute owner of 55 cents of land spread across various survey numbers in Velankanni Village, Keelvelur Taluk, Nagapattinam District. The lands originally belonged to the petitioner’s grandfather, the late Mr. Pethukutty Pillai, and the petitioner is in possession of the subject property by way of succession. With regard to the title over the subject property, a civil suit was filed before the trial court. After trial, a decree was passed granting a 1/3rd share to each of the heirs of the late Pethukutty Pillai and thereby the petitioner became the owner of the subject property. The petitioner submitted an online application dated 09.12.2025 for the sub-division of his lands and also made a representation to the 2nd respondent on 09.02.2026. Since the said application has not yet been disposed of, the petitioner has approached this Court. 3. In reply, Ms.Inthu Karunakaran, learned Government Counsel who takes notice on behalf of the respondents would submit that the petitioner’s application dated 09.12.2025 will be disposed of by the respondents within a period of six weeks. 4. In view of the above, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner’s application dated 09.12.2025 on its own merits and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6.
