Mr. Jai Kishan Pandey, learned counsel holding brief of Mr. Priyanshu Gairola, learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Mr. Pankaj Chaturvedi, learned counsel for the respondent nos.1 and 2, through video conferencing. 3. By means of the present writ petition, the petitioner has sought a direction to respondent nos.1 and 2 to provide water connection to the portion of the building wherein the petitioner is residing. 4. Factual background of the case, in brief, is that the husband of the petitioner went missing for more than seven years and his whereabouts is still not known to the petitioner. When the in-laws of the petitioner committed cruelty upon the petitioner she moved an application under Section 12 of The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, in the court of learned IVth Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dehradun, which was registered as Misc. Case No.1186 of 2021, Priyanka Rana Vs. Ravi Kumar and another. Learned trial court granted a right of residence to the petitioner in the buildings of her mother-in-law respondent no.3 vide judgment and order dated 02.08.2022. 5. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that the said order has never been challenged by the private respondents. 6. The grievance as canvassed by the learned counsel for the petitioner, in the present writ petition, is that the petitioner has applied for the water connection but respondent no.1 is not providing water connection to the petitioner for reasons best known to them. 2 7. The learned counsel for the respondent no.1 and 2 submits that the respondents shall provide water connection to petitioner within ten days as occupier. 8. In such view of the matter, the writ petition is finally disposed of and it is provided that respondent nos.1 and 2 shall provide water connection, as an occupier of the house, to the petitioner on her making requisite applications and deposits within a period of seven days from today.
