Side) O R D E R This petition is filed seeking for a certiorarified mandamus to quash the impugned order dated 29.04.2026 and consequently, to direct the respondents to grant permission and police protection for Aadal and Paadal event. 2. The present writ petitioner is a member of the festival committee of Arulmighu Sri Durgai Amman Thirukovil. The respondents, through the impugned order dated 29.04.2026, have granted permission for the festival, however, they declined permission specifically for conducting the Aadal and Paadal events. In response, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), on written instructions, submitted that there is a communal clash in the said area and therefore, if Aadal and Paadal are permitted, the respondents expect a severe clash between the communities. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the alleged clash involves only two families and is not among the entire village. 5. It is seen, the respondents have granted permission for the festival. The respondents have stated in the impugned order, there shall not be any obscenity in the function. The respondents, therefore, cannot deny permission for the Aadal and Paadal events. The events may be conducted under regular conditions, like the function shall conclude by 10:00 PM and there shall be no obscenity, dancing, songs or inappropriate gestures. 6.

This writ petition is allowed.
