DATE : 25.08.2026 By this application, the applicant seeks amendment by substituting the name of the appellant in the appeal against acquittal. Initially, the appeal was filed by the nephew of the deceased. However, now the son of the deceased seeks to proceed with the appeal by adding himself as an appellant. 2. In view of the above, the son of the deceased falls within the definition of “victim” and, therefore, the amendment is permitted. 3. The amendment be carried out within one week.
