ORDER The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed by A1 in Crime No.22 of 2018 on the file of the first respondent police, seeking to quash the FIR wherein the petitioner is charged with the offence under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 323, 324 and 506(2) of IPC.
2. A perusal of the FIR reveals that the petitioner along with other persons are said to have attacked the defacto complainant. Specific overt acts are alleged as against the petitioner herein also and in such circumstances, this Court is not inclined to quash the FIR.
3. The FIR has been registered on 28.01.2018 and the charge sheet is said to have been laid on 08.07.2022. So far, the same has not been taken on file.
4. In view of the above said facts, there shall be a direction to the first respondent police to see that the charge sheet is taken on file after rectification of defects. The trial Court is directed to dispose of the case on 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
Crl.O.P.(MD).No.13512 of 2026 merits and in accordance with law without being influenced by any one of the observations made by this Court.
5. With the above said observations, this Criminal Original Petition is
