Perusal of the charge sheet reveals that the petitioner has collected huge sum of money and has handed over to A2 for procuring a job. The petitioner and A2 claimed to have political contacts and they have collected money from the general public under the guise of procuring employment. 3.According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, his wife has also paid a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- for procuring the job and therefore, she is also a victim. However, the said angle has not been investigated by the respondent police. Hence, he has prayed for setting aside the charge sheet and for conducting a fresh investigation. 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Crl.OP(MD) No.13700 of 2026 4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record. 5.The present contention of the petitioner is that his wife is also a victim and she had paid a sum of Rs.5,00,000 to A2. However, for the past two years, no such complaint has been launched by the wife of the petitioner herein and only after the filing of the charge sheet, such a stand has been taken by A1/petitioner. In such circumstances, this Court does not find any reason to order for a De Nova investigation. 6.In view of the above facts, there is no merits in the petition. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
