The contention of the petitioner is that on an application being filed by the petitioner, as the Founder Secretary of Sri Anjana Swamy Education Society, Tumkur, seeking grant of lands for the purpose of construction of a School, appropriate orders have been passed by the Government, as could be seen from Annexure-B dated 10.10.1994, whereby a communication is made to the Assistant Commissioner, Bangalore Sub-Division, Bangalore, that land measuring 100x100 feet in Sy.No.46 of Mudalupanne Village, - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:17467 WP No. 8549 of 2026 Kasaba Hobli, Koratagere Town, is identified for grant to the Society, at the rate of Rs.20,000/- per acre and accordingly, directions have been issued to the Deputy Commissioner to proceed to grant the land in favour of the Society. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner draws the attention of this Court to Annexure-G and submits that the Tahsildar has issued an endorsement on 22.09.2016 stating that the Society has made the payment on 08.07.1995, but the Tahsildar sought instructions as to in whose name the grant should be made. 4. Learned counsel submits that in the light of the admitted facts, necessary directions should be issued to the respondent-State and its authorities to pass necessary orders of grant and issue certificate of grant in favour of the petitioner-society. 5. Having regard to the contentions raised in the writ petition, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4-The Secretary, Revenue Department and respondent No.3-Deputy Commissioner, Tumkur District, to consider the grievance of the petitioner, verify the records to - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:17467 WP No. 8549 of 2026 find out whether the claim of the petitioner is genuine. If it is found that such orders were earlier passed by the Government and payment has been made by the Society, then appropriate orders of grant shall be passed by the competent authority as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
