Pleader Ms. Chandana Ghosh ..for the State The petitioners allege that the notice under Section 10(1) of the West Bengal Highways Act, 1964 has been issued to the petitioners directing removal of unauthorised structure on the Government land belonging to Public Work (Roads) Department and on Plot No. 43 within Mouza Barada under Police Station Sabang in the District of Paschim Medinipur. The learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have submitted a representation dated 08.11.2025 requesting the concerned Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, Sabang to demarcate the property in question and to supply a copy of the report to the petitioners. Mr. De, learned Additional Government Pleader submits that the demarcation has already been made by the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer as per the requisition made by the Assistant Engineer, Keleghai Bridge Highway Sub-Division, Public Work (Roads) 2 Directorate. Mr. De submits that the report of such demarcation along with sketch map shall be supplied to the petitioners on or before February 20, 2026. Such submission of Mr. De is placed on record. With the above observations, WPA 28474 of 2025 stands disposed of directing the concerned B.L.& L.R.O to supply a copy of the report of demarcation to the petitioners on or before February 20, 2026. There shall be however no order as to costs. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
