The case of the petitioner is that he submitted an online application dated 22.05.2026 before the competent revenue authority to survey his property comprising Survey Number 219/2B, measuring an extent of 0.36.00 Ares in Patta No. 1567, situated at Kodipalli Village, Krishnagiri Taluk and District and to fix boundary stones as per Rectification Deed No. 1522/2025 by obtaining adequate police protection from the 4th respondent. However, the same has not been considered till date. Challenging this inaction on the part of the respondent authority, the present Writ Petition has been filed. 3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Counsel for the respondents. 4. In view of the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court directs the first and second respondents to consider the petitioner's online application dated 22.05.2026 on its merits. The respondents shall conduct a survey of the subject property (Survey Number 219/2B, measuring 0.36.00 Ares under Patta No. 1567, Kodipalli Village, Krishnagiri Taluk and District) and fix boundary stones within six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that in the event that any disturbance arises, the surveying authority is __________ Page3 of 6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 25116 of 2026 empowered to seek the assistance of the 4th respondent / jurisdictional Police, and the 4th respondent/ jurisdictional Police are mandated to provide necessary police protection. In the event that the subject land under survey is in the possession of either the petitioner or any other concerned party, the recovery of possession can only be effected through the due process of law before the competent Civil Court; under no circumstances shall the respondents engage in taking over possession after completing the survey to hand it over to any party. Such exercise shall be carried out exclusively through the competent Civil Court. 5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
