The Writ Petitioner is the Appellant. The Writ Petition has been instituted by the Appellant seeking promotion to the post of Senior Assistant. In view of the punishment and due to its currency, the promotion was denied to the appellant. This Court has modified the punishment imposed, in W.A.No.2998 of 2005. In view of the fact that the punishment is confirmed and its currency will go on, the relief, if so sought for to promote the Appellant to the post of Senior Assistant cannot be considered at this stage by this Court.
