The captioned Writ Petition is filed seeking following reliefs: (a) Issue an appropriate Writ or Order or Direction to quash and set aside the Demand Notice dated:10.07.2024 issued by the Assistant Executive Engineer (EI) - respondent No.1 vide Annexure-A. (b) Issue an appropriate Writ or Order or Direction to quash and set aside alleged MRT Report dated:18.05.2024 passed by respondent No.2 vide Annexure-B. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:5802 WP No. 21506 of 2024 3. Counsel for the respective parties presented several contentions. Heard the arguments and perused the papers with care. 4. It is noted that on 10.07.2024 the Assistant Executive Engineer issued a communication to the petitioner. The petitioner replied to the communication on 01.08.2024 vide Annexure-F. 5. Taking note of the reply submitted by the petitioner, this Court deems it proper to dispose of the petition directing the first respondent - BESCOM authority to consider the reply submitted by the petitioner in accordance with law within four weeks from the receipt of the certified copy of the order. Needless to observe that while consideration of the reply the petitioner shall be given an opportunity of personal hearing. 6. The petitioner shall appear before the first respondent on 18.02.2026 at 02.30 p.m. Till the consideration of the reply, the respondents shall not precipitate the matter for disconnection of the power connection subject to petitioner paying regular consumption charges. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:5802 WP No. 21506 of 2024 7.
