Side) for R1 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 17097 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 Order The prayer in the Criminal Original Petition is to quash the FIR in Crime No.260 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, registered for the alleged offences under Sections 294(b) of IPC. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing on either side brought to the notice of this Court that, having regard to the factual matrix of the case, this Court, by order dated 07.04.2025 in Crl.O.P. No.13753 of 2023, had already quashed the proceedings as against the co-accused. It was further brought to the notice of this Court that the connected counter case has also been quashed by order passed in Crl.O.P.No.18751 of 2023. 3.In view of the above, no useful purpose would be served by permitting the present FIR to continue as against the petitioner. Accordingly, Crl.O.P. No.17097 of 2026 is allowed and the FIR in Crime No.260 of 2023 on the file of the first respondent police is quashed in its entirety.
