The Petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: i) “issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents 2 to 5 for considering the representations dt:23.6.2022 and 30.4.2024 and for passing orders on the said representations forthwith vide Annexures-L and N; ii) alternatively, issue to any writ or direction, directing the respondent Nos. 2 to 4 to initiate necessary action for considering the claims of - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:6650 WP No. 21410 of 2024 the petitioner for issuing Hakku Patra in respect of portion of land in Sy.No.237 of Santhebennur Village, Channagiri Taluk, Davangere District and for passing orders, forthwith; iii) issue such other writ, order or directions, as deems fit in the circumstances of the case and allow the above writ petition with costs, to meet the ends of justice and equity.” 2. The grievance of the Petitioner is that the representations submitted by the Petitioner on 23.06.2022 and 30.04.2024 at Annexure-L and N, calling and requesting the respondents to consider the applications of the petitioner to issue Hakku Patra in respect of the portion of the land in Sy.No.237 of Santhebennur Village, Channagiri Taluk, Davangere District, have not been considered by the respondents despite a long lapse in time. It is in that background that the Petitioner is before this Court challenging the aforesaid releifs. 3. Whenever any application is made by a citizen to any Authority, the same is required to be considered and necessary orders passed within a reasonable period of time either accepting or rejecting the request made. Neither of them having been made, I pass the following: ORDER i. The writ petition is allowed. ii. Mandamus is issued directing respondents to consider the representations dated 23.06.2022 and 30.04.2024 at Annexures-L and N within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. iii.
