Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 20.08.2025 in connection with Lawalong P.S. Case No.27/2024, corresponding to G.R. Case No. 1272 of 2025, in connection with S.T. Case No.375 of 2025, registered under Section 302, 120B and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, now pending in the court of learned District and 2nd Additional Sessions Judge, Chatra.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the victim was found dead in her matrimonial home and the petitioner is the father-in-law. He has further submitted that there was no other injury except death due to hanging and the husband has been enlarged on bail by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court in B.A. No.513 of 2026 vide
order dated 25.02.2026.
4. The learned counsel has also submitted that there is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioner with respect to demand of dowry and such allegation is on all the family members.
5. The learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer.
6. To this, the learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 20.08.2025, and undertakes to co- operate with the trial.

After hearing the learned counsel for the parties and considering the fact that the husband, who is a co-accused in this case, has been enlarged on bail in B.A. No.513 of 2026, and that there are general allegations against the petitioner regarding the demand of dowry made against all the family members, the petitioner is directed

to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 25,000/-(Rupees twenty-five thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned District and 2nd Additional Sessions Judge, Chatra in connection with Lawalong P.S. Case No.27/2024, corresponding to G.R. Case No. 1272 of 2025, in connection with S.T. Case No.375 of 2025, on the following conditions: (i) The bailor should be his close relative. (ii) The petitioner will attend the court on each and every date and on account of even single default, the learned court shall cancel the bail bond furnished by the petitioner. (iii) The petitioner will deposit a self-attested copy of his Aadhar Card along with his mobile number before the learned court which he will not change during the pendency of the case without prior permission of the court. (iv) The petitioner shall fully co-operate with the proceedings before the learned trial court.
8. The instant application is allowed with the aforesaid conditions.
