The grievance raised by the petitioner is as regards not deciding the appeal preferred by the petitioner by the Hon’ble Minister of Urban Development Department. 2. On instructions, Shri Thakare, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent Nos.1 and 2, makes a statement that the matter is fixed for hearing on 2nd September, 2026 before the Hon’ble Minister. 3. In that view of the matter, we are of the opinion that the purpose would be served if the petition is disposed of with a direction to the Hon’ble Minister to decide the appeal of the petitioner within three weeks from the next fixed date, i.e. 2nd September, 2026, after following due procedure of law and making compliance of the principles of natural justice. 4. Accordingly, the respondent no.1 is directed to decide the appeal filed by the petitioner under Section 44(4) of the Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats and Industrial Townships Act, 1965 within three weeks from the next fixed date, i.e. 2nd September, 2026, in accordance with law. 2026:BHC-NAG:11269-DB 2 WP-4719-2026.odt 5.
