CRL RC No. 1090 of 2026 To set aside the judgment dated 17-04-2026 in Criminal Appeal No.322 of 2024 on the file of the I Additional District and Sessions Court, Tiruppur, for convicting the petitioner and by Confirming the Judgment dated 21-08-2024 passed in S.T.C. Baskar For Respondent ORDER This petition is filed to extend the time limit to deposit 30 percentage of the cheque amount as directed by this court in Crl.M.P.No.8647 of 2026 in Crl.R.C.No.1090/2026 on 29.05.2026 to the credit of STC.No.2014 of 2020 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, (Fast Track Court) Tiruppur. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that due to some financial constraints, the petitioner is not able to make compliance of the condition https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL MP No. 11900 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 5 imposed in paragraph 4(i) of the order passed by this Court dated 29.05.2026 directing to deposit 50% of the compensation amount. He further submitted that the total compensation amount was Rs.6,00,000/-, out of which, 20% of the cheque amount was already deposited before the trial court in the garb of the order passed by the Appellate Court and now the petitioner is ready and willing to deposit 30% of the compensation amount, i.e., Rs.1,20,000/- and the same shall be brought in the name of the respondent by way of demand draft on the next date fixed. 3. Accordingly, as prayed by the learned counsel for the petitioner, he shall bring 30% of the compensation amount by way of demand draft in the name of respondent on the next date fixed, failing compliance of the order, this petition shall stand dismissed automatically. 4. The respondent is permitted to move an application before the trial court to withdraw the 20% of the cheque amount already deposited by the petitioner before the trial court within three weeks and if any such application is filed, the trial court is directed to release the amount in favour of the respondent within a period of three weeks thereafter. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL MP No. 11900 of 2026 __________ Page4 of 5 5.
